  • If I am a local customer or visiting the South Florida area, can I pick up an order? Yes, local pickups are available. Orders placed on Amazon, our website, or by phone can be collected. We serve a vast customer base in West Palm Beach, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Doral, Kendall, and Miramar.

Products and Warranty:

  • What is covered in the warranty? Warranty coverage varies by product and typically pertains to the specific product itself.

  • What doesn’t the warranty cover? The warranty does not cover issues outside of the product itself.

  • How do I purchase Sun System products? Visit their website to find a dealer near you.

  • I lost or broke the glass or the frame for the reflector. Where can I buy new ones? We offer replacement lenses, frames, or combinations for most popular reflectors in the market.

Technical Queries:

  • Will the glass part of my reflector block UV light and heat? Yes, glass naturally inhibits UV. We don't add extra UV filtration since some UV is beneficial for growing. The primary function of the glass lens is to contain heat and facilitate air-cooled evacuation.

  • How far apart can I place the ballast and reflector? Distance depends on the ballast type (magnetic or electronic) and the lamp type (HPS or Probe Start MH). Some magnetic ballasts with long-range ignitors can work up to 50 feet. Most electronic ballasts can reliably fire a lamp beyond 50 feet.

  • How many BTUs will my reflectors and system generate? 1 watt equals 3.41 BTU per hour. Thus, 1000 watts will equal 3,412 BTU per hour.

  • What do CDM and LEC315 mean? CDM stands for Ceramic Discharge Metal Halide. LEC315 refers to Light Emitting Ceramic operating at 315 watts.

Maintenance and Care:

  • How do I clean the inside of the reflector or the lamp itself? First, turn off all power and let the lamp cool. Then, gently wipe the lamp's outer part with a clean, dry cloth.

  • How do I clean my Sun System reflector? Use warm water and mild dish soap to remove grime and restore its reflective finish. Avoid bleach, ammonia, or harsh cleansers.

Miscellaneous:

  • How much electrical power will my lights consume, and how much will it cost me? Check your power bill for the rate per KW (kilowatt). For instance, if you're charged $0.10 per KW, it will cost ten cents to run a 1000w system for one hour. This is an average, as there's also efficiency loss.

  • Can I buy a regular extension cord from my store? Yes, but ensure it has an ANSI rating for maximum wattage and amperage. Never exceed the extension cord's maximum load rating.
